It has been a long time since I written in my blog. Most of my previous posts were school related. I am still working on updating my blog – a lot has changed and I feel like I need to re-learn all the aspects of editing.

In June, I entered a giveaway from an influencer that I admire and have followed for a very long time. Between me and you, I never, in my wildest dreams, expected to win BUT I DID! Now for the BEST part of this “comeback” post: I found out I was the winner on my deceased youngest son’s birthday. Some of you know my story, some of you may not, but Mike would have been 35 years old on June 23; it will be 12 years since he passed in October. Imagine my surprise, when I checked my phone at the end of the evening (it was an emotional day and I found it easier to be “disconnected”) and saw a message requesting my address so my “presents” could be sent to me. Yes, I questioned it. Yes, I researched it to make sure it wasn’t spam. Sorry, Dominique 🙂

My items arrived shortly after I received word that I had truly won, but because my birthday arrives shortly after Mikes, I chose to wait to open the box as an extra present to myself. On July 3rd, I slowly unwrapped my gifts, examining each one carefully. I was super excited to receive this lovely box of items, believing that this was a beautiful blessing.

The Teddy Blake purse was my reason for entering in the first place. If you know me, you know I LOVE purses and tote bags …. shhhh! don’t tell my husband. Seriously, he already knows. The Three Ships eye masks are a product I really wanted to try, along with the lashes. There’s just so many fun things in this giveaway, I don’t know where to start. But I will add that the BEST place to start is with Dominique – she is one of the best influencers I follow. You won’t find a better woman out there, in my opinion.

Turning 58 years of age turned out to be a wonderful opportunity – a chance to make a comeback post, a chance to try some brand new products, and a chance to say THANK YOU! Thank you, Dominique, for providing your “birthday” gifts for my birthday.
